We’re excited to announce an all-new audio format for a weekly 30-minute broadcast, available any time on your phone, tablet, laptop or other device! This new program, Sentinel Watch, will feature a topic of current interest each week. The week’s new program begins airing on Fridays at 9:30 a.m. Pacific time.
This week’s subject is Does God really send everlasting punishment? — you’re invited to tune in while you’re on your way to work, out running errands, or just enjoying a quiet time at home.
What would you think if you saw a sign saying, “Everlasting punishment, all are welcome!” The subject of “Everlasting punishment” is explored twice a year at Christian Science services … and all are indeed welcome to attend Christian Science services in local branch churches and in The Mother Church in Boston, Massachusetts. But if you do attend the twice-yearly focus on “Everlasting punishment,” the good news is that the theme of such services is that there is no such thing as being everlastingly punished for past mistakes.
On the next edition of Sentinel Watch we will explore how God’s everlasting love gives us the ability to break free from whatever would hide this redeeming love from us.
The host of the new program is Tony Lobl, who has been writing and broadcasting on Christian Science for three decades. Beside written and recorded pieces regularly appearing in Christian Science publications he has also had pieces published by national and global news outlets and has been interviewed by radio stations and podcast producers on three continents. Tony found Christian Science in his early twenties and became a Christian Science practitioner in 2004. He and his wife Jenny live in London.
